Ride to Vintage Motorcycle Exhibit
OK folks, put this date on your calendar. Wait a minute, I don't have a date. It's not that important anyway. All I know is that the the first coolish Saturday between now and Sept. 19th I've got a ride planned to visit the "Wind in Your Hair - Vintage Motorcycles" exhibit in Louisville (Google this for details). In keeping with my "convoluted" ways of trying to get to Louisville, we will be going through Battletown, Laconia, and Fishtown. If we find Louisville, lunch will be at Mark's Feed Store BBQ (Bardstown Rd. store). I plan on coming back through...you know better than that...I don't have a plan. That's not all that important either. So, the "Wind in Your Hair & BBQ in Your Teeth Ride" will depart from Thorton's, Morgan & Burkhardt. Kickstands up at 8:00 AM, some up-coming Saturday. Stay tuned.

Polar Bear Ride

It's that time of year that Polar Bears on Motorcycles are seen leaving Thorton's (Burkhardt & Morgan) and migrating through the countryside. They eventually, after a convoluted course, end up at their feeding grounds in the North Country (Haubstadt) communally referred to as the GarageMajal. This ravenous herd fears nothing but slick terrain to travel over, but fortunately the weather forecast looks to be in their favor for this New Year's migration. Polar Bears unite! 10:00 AM, Friday, Jan. 1st, Thorton's. If ice is in the forecast there will be a cancellation e-mail Friday Morning at 8:00 AM. Freeze, I mean, see you then.

Ron Gray's Short Leisurely Ride to French Lick Dairy Queen
Weather permitting
(Chance of rain not over 25%) a couple of us are going to French Lick, IN.
Our plan is
leaving from Lynnville Gas Station at 1300 Hrs. Take S.R. 61 North, to Hw 64 East,
North on HW 257, East on Hw 56, North on CR-500W (turns into 47th Street) in Ireland, to
Hw 231 North, to Haysville,
East on Hw 56 into French Lick. Stop at Dairy Queen.
Then Take Hw 150 to Hw 231 South & back track back to Lynnville. Of course anyone can
split off at anytime.
